Donald is approximately 13 months old and was picked up as stray in Riverside, California. Nobody came to claim him so he sat in a high kill shelter for 37 days. Rescue and adopters didn't seem to be interested in him either other wise he would have been out of there a while ago.
Hayden is approximately 2 years old, sweet and friendly. He was picked up as a stray and even though his owners said they wanted him back, after 21 days they still hadn't shown up for him. We weren't going to let him die in the shelter.
Taylor was picked up as a stray along with her corgi buddy. She was microchipped and her owner didn't come for her. Turns out her owner was terminally ill and tried to find homes for both dogs and couldn't. He entrusted someone to care for them and continue to look for a home for them and that person either let them wander away or the dogs escaped.
Trevor is approximately 10 years old and has been seriously neglected. He has serious skin issues and all treatments work for a few months and then they stop working. His hips are fused together so he bunny hops, very bad arthritis in his back and we've tried all the expensive treatments for skin ailments with little to no success.
Charlie is a product of serious abuse and neglect. He was surrendered into a high kill shelter in deplorable condition and the vet was amazed he was still alive. I had him pulled and whisked off to a vet hospital where he spent a full month undergoing extensive testing and treatment. That first bill was 4 thousand dollars. Charlie to date has cost 22 thousand dollars to help un-do what another sub-human did to him. Charlie has ongoing medical needs and due to the monthly cost of his medications (400+), he will not be available for adoption and will remain with the rescue.
Like every rescue, we require funds and supplies to cover medical and food costs. Without funding, we are unable to support a dog in need.
We firmly believe that it takes an entire community to spread the word to get the information out there to the masses to help save this amazing breed.
Donations are tax deductible and receipts will be issued for donations $5.00 and greater. If you want a tax receipt, please let me know.
We gladly accept high quality dry and wet dog food and a 'gift in kind' tax receipt can also be issued for products purchased for the rescue.
